Encore Solid Surfacing The simple beauty of Encore solid surfacing from Bushboard lies in the seamless flow of the material, especially around joints, corners and edges. The ready-made worktops are finished on the short edges as well as the long front edge, and sealed on the underside with high-pressure laminate. Breakfast bars are edged on all four sides integrating a contemporary square end as well as a classic bow. Encore comes with a lovely semi-matt surface as standard but can be polished to a gorgeous glossy finish on site. Matching upstands, splashbacks or hob panels are available. Or why not use a breakfast bar to create an island unit or perhaps some stylish open-plan living and dining. Encore Solid Surfacing is constructed with a 5mm solid surface applied to environmentally preferred high-density particleboard, specially selected for its strength and stability. Its construction generates excellent machining capability for sink cut-outs and mitre joints. 
Tests by FIRA, (the Furniture Industry Research Association), show that Encore can tolerate heat in excess of 240°C. It is also five times more impact resistant than most solid surface products, enabling it to cope with the demands of the busiest kitchen. Independently tested to BS/EN438, an Encore worksurface is designed to withstand knocks, abrasions, chemicals, cigarette burns, steam, stains from juice, tea, wine or coffee. Another significant benefit of the material is that scratches can be polished out. Corner joints are the real strength of Encore solid surfaces by Bushboard. Simply cut joints as if you were working on a Bushboard laminate worktop, apply the special colour matched adhesive and sand the entire surface to a virtually seamless finish. The finished joint is inconspicuous and very hygienic. The comprehensive range of accessory products includes matching adhesives, additional edging strip and clamps, literally everything needed to install the product. These can be supplied individually or as a full installation kit. Easy Maintenance Beautifully practical, incredibly tough, the hard, non-porous material gives a hygienic, easy to clean surface which copies easily with every day wear and tear, although it’s always wise to use a pan stand or trivet, mop up spills quickly and not chop directly on to it. Better than that, Encore solid surfacing has the unique advantage of being repairable.
